Square D Plug In Tap Box for the Square D's I-Line series bus duct. 600 volt, 400/600 amp, 3 wire, ground.

This plug-in tap box can be used with copper or aluminum plug-in I-Line busway.  This tap box is rated for 600 amps max.  Square D uses the one tap box for 400 amp and 600 amp busway.  It can also be used with 225 amp I-Line, plug-in bus way.

Mechanical lugs are standard for connecting the incoming electrical power.

The tap box has a ground tab which makes connection with the bus duct's ground.  If the duct does not have a ground, the tap box will still plug-in as the slot for the ground tab is standard on I-Line busway plug-ins.  But, no grounding will be present in the tap box.

There is no overcurrent protection or on-off switching with the tap box.

Plug-in Style

This tap box mounts to the busway in any of the plug-in ports on the I-Line bus duct.  It can be mounted anywhere along the bus duct, where there is a plug-in.

When feeding power to an I-Line bus duct run with a plug-in tap box, two end closures will be needed to close the run on each end.
