Westinghouse first began offering busway systems in 1938, and introduced the plug-in Standard series bus duct system in 1947. This series, along with the Lifeline Unibus series rolled out in 1955, remain popular choices in busway systems today. The Standard/Lifeline bus duct series is now manufactured by Eaton Corporation.
Eaton's Cutler-Hammer plant introduced its CP series of bus duct beginning in the early 70s and continuing into the 80s. Discontinued in the mid 90s, Cutler-Hammer replaced the CP series with the Pow-R-Way III series in 1997.
